Red Roof Inn Buffalo, TX

I have MS, so getting around can be an issue. The front desk woman first gave me a second-floor room, then changed it right away when I explained. The TV is fantastic and I love the ceiling fan. Someone should change the bulb in the bedside ceiling light.

The outside looks a little rough, but the room was clean and updated. It’s a newly renovated hotel just off the interstate, and the price was good. The bed and sheets were especially comfortable, better than the Choice locations I often use when traveling. Good value for the money, and worth staying at.

We needed a quick night’s sleep on a long trip, and the room was immaculately clean. Check-in and check-out were fast. The place looks quite run down from outside and in the office, but the rooms have been updated recently. The beds are a little hard, though that’s what I’d expect at this price. I’d stop again when I need a bed for a quick overnight. Thanks, guys.

The front desk staff were nice and personable, which made the state of the room a shame. There were adult roaches and newly hatched ones, old food in the microwave, hair from a previous guest on the toilet seat, and a layer of dust on the ice bucket. The room clearly wasn’t getting enough attention. I can only hope the sheets were fresh and clean. It’s a budget motel with decent rooms in general, but neglecting cleanliness makes it worthless. The beds were uncomfortable, though the pillows were adequate. I wouldn’t recommend staying until the roaches are dealt with and the cleaning staff are retrained or replaced. I hope the desk staff can help get the place into better shape.
