SpringHill Suites Los Angeles Burbank/Downtown

I wouldn’t stay again. We left for the day with the “do not disturb” sign on the door, but someone went into our room anyway and left an ironing board against the wall, which we hadn’t asked for. I wasn’t comfortable with someone entering while we were away without permission. There are no in-room safes, and the TV didn’t work during our downtime before an overnight flight. We called twice about the TV and it was never fixed. We also had to call twice before the extra blankets and pillows were brought up. The place itself was nice enough, the rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and lots of restaurants are walkable.

The lobby looks lovely, and I wish the room had been anything like it. For what this place costs, I expected clean floors, but there was a dirty shoe print in the middle of the bathroom and sticky spots, especially under the desk. I don’t want to know what that was. The couch looks like a crime scene. Towels and sheets smelled terrible, the bed was extremely hard, and the shower had basically no water pressure. The staff were very nice, but if I can, I’m ending my trip early to avoid another night here.

The breakfast was good, and the orange juice had pulp instead of being the watery kind hotels usually serve. Inside and out, it was very quiet, and parking under the hotel felt secure. The freeway was easy to reach. The place has a more modern look and feel than most hotels we’ve stayed in, and the bed, couch, and desk furniture were all comfortable.

Good location and big rooms, and everything else seemed fine. The sofa sets are very dirty and seem like they’ve reached the end of their life. The carpet needs replacing too.
