The staff were incredibly friendly, the place was very clean, and the water got piping hot. Breakfast was simple but just right for me, and a noon checkout was a real bonus. The AC practically blasts snow. WiFi was only so-so, and I could hear soft thumps from the guests above, so I’d ask for a top-floor room. The price is a little higher than budget hotels, which can be a questionable range in the Bay Area, but I was completely satisfied. I’d stay here again if I had a long layover nearby.

This was the coziest, cleanest hotel of my trip, and I loved staying here. One small suggestion: the website feels like it’s from the ’90s and is hard to use on a phone. A few dollars toward a new one would help.

I came for an SFO transfer and would stay here again. The beach is right there, and I even went for a morning run. It’s a comfortable, enjoyable place, with a convenient shuttle and a great hot breakfast. The hotel is a little dated, but has a classic feel. Great location and highly recommended.

The bay views from our room and from the gym were fantastic, and breakfast on the patio was lovely. Just remember that getting back to the dining room for more food or to return dishes means using your key to go through a hallway. There’s free coffee and tea downstairs around the clock, plus a warm breakfast each morning until 10. We had a comfortable bed, a mini fridge for water, a microwave, and a coffee maker, though we used the downstairs coffee and tea bar instead. The room temperature was good and the AC worked well, but the hallway was hot and humid with little ventilation. Our room wasn’t cleaned during the two nights, which was disappointing, though we could probably have asked for service. We used the free airport shuttle both when we arrived and when we left. It was also a short walk to Enterprise, where a rental car was 30% cheaper than at the airport. There are several restaurants within walking distance. We spotted Benihana from our window and went there for dinner; it was amazing. We were very happy with our stay despite the hallway and cleaning issues, and would come back when visiting friends in San Francisco.

I stayed at the Bay Landing hotel for nearly a week and was treated with terrible disrespect, especially by front desk manager Sarah Perez. I’d given the hotel a lot of business before. Since I used to reserve one day at a time, I often changed rooms, but this time they said I had to stay in one room and put me on the first floor, room 106. One night I accidentally left my 2009 Dodge Challenger unlocked. An employee sprayed lemon air freshener, the same kind used in the hotel, all through the car, onto my clothes and every part of the interior, and over the exterior too. They said there were no cameras when it happened. I had parked out front. I’ve spent a lot getting the car washed, and the inside is still so bad that it needs professional detailing. I’m between places, and I’ve had to throw away a lot of things. I called after leaving to ask for the property owners’ information. A woman calling herself Ava just told me to call the police and wouldn’t provide it. I consider this a hate crime and harassment, and I’m taking it further. I’m disabled and have a serious spinal condition, with herniated discs in my back and severe stenosis in my neck. I couldn’t lift a bag of heavy bottled water, but Sarah wouldn’t let anyone help carry it to my room, so I had to lift it myself. I’ll be following up with an attorney and contacting the ADA. The police have been informed. What happened was cruel. Do not stay here!
