Hampton Inn Burlington

We spent Christmas week here and had no issues. The hotel was quiet, our room was clean, and the pool and jacuzzi were a hit with my boys. The TV has Spectrum cable and an okay selection, but no streaming options. I’m biased since I work for a TV company in its commercial department. Breakfast was mixed. There’s a fresh waffle maker with churro or vanilla waffles, plus oatmeal, bread and jam, cereal, and hot foods that stayed the same through the week. The eggs and potatoes were consistent; the meat changed between paper-thin bacon, which I’d pass on, really good maple sausage pieces, and an okay chicken sausage patty. The orange juice was really good, while the cranberry juice was a little watery. We didn’t use the gym, and the computer lab was out of service. My biggest complaint was the lack of a market or convenience shop. There are only a few vending machines at the end of the first floor with some soda, water, and snacks.

The room was clean and nice, though it didn’t have a microwave or mini fridge. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was better than average for a hotel. They had vanilla and pumpkin spice waffles with real whipped cream and sprinkles. I’d recommend it!

I had a fantastic stay last weekend, even though all the events in the area made it a bit of a splurge. The building was clean and well maintained, the beds were so comfortable, and coffee was always available in the lobby. I also got to enjoy the pool and hot tub all to myself. Big thanks to Linda, Debbie, Candace, the breakfast staff, housekeeping, and everyone else there. They were friendly, happy, attentive, and clearly cared about the guests. The hotel sits at the edge of downtown, which made it fun to walk around. This town should warn you that its talented bakers and makers will charm all your money away, and I mean that as a compliment. I was lucky enough to catch both the farmer’s market and the annual street fair unexpectedly.

The pet area was always well looked after and had clean-up bags, and our first-floor room was right near the exit closest to it, making potty breaks easy. We stayed four days with our two senior dogs and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The room was clean and had what we needed, the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows, and we liked keeping the dogs’ water bowl in the walk-in shower so the floor wouldn’t get slobbery and wet. Staff we met were all welcoming and nice, and the daily breakfast bar was fresh and well stocked. There’s good food, custard, coffee, and shopping within walking distance, including Fred’s, Adrian’s, Burlington Coffee Co, and Chic and Unique Boutique. We were a little worried about the nearby train tracks, but the trains don’t blow their horns as they pass, so we hardly noticed them. We make a few trips to the area each year and will always stay here. Thanks for making the trip comfortable.
