Motel 6 Buttonwillow, CA Central

The young man at the front desk was pleasant, and the price was really good. The room itself was okay, and it might have been a nice stay if we'd been able to sleep. We were right next to the freeway, and the noise was so loud. If I stayed again, I'd only do it with a room by the pool. They should consider adding insulation to the walls.

Room 113 looked recently remodeled, was very clean, and had a comfortable bed and a heater that worked well. It was supposed to be wheelchair accessible, but that didn't make it very accessible for me. I'm 5'3" and have arthritis, and the bed was taller than my rolling suitcase, so I could barely climb into it. The bathroom had a tub without grab rails for stability. There was a plastic shower chair, but it had no arms, and I didn't feel comfortable sitting on a generic chair with bare skin.

The young man who checked me in was very friendly, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. I travel each year between Oregon and Florida with my cat, staying at Motel 6's along the way, and this was my first time here. I use earplugs for Interstate noise, which is common at these motels. With those and the good management here, I slept wonderfully and had a satisfying stay.

Room 121, December 21, 2025. The heater worked, and there's a large open lot at the very back that can fit a couple of big vehicles. The tub and shower diverter was stuck on shower. Water pressure was good, but the valve made a lot of noise when I turned it toward hot.
