I missed my event that night because of the problems in my room. It was freezing, the thermostat was detached, and the heating unit was missing its control knobs, so adjusting the temperature was difficult. There was no hot water at the sink either, and I had to wash my hands and face with cold water. I reported everything right away and asked to move. The front desk attendant said she was the only staff member on duty and was assigning available rooms to other guests. She said she’d check on my situation when she had time. A room without heat and hot water should never be given to a guest. These are basic necessities, and this was extremely disappointing and poorly managed. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The noise from I 285 went on all night, and the room never got dark because the window by the bed had a room-darkening shade while the other window, near a security light, didn’t. That disturbed our sleep. We’d taken the oversized room because it cost the same as the king suite. It had a king bed but only one bedside table. It was listed as handicapped, I guess because of the extra space, yet the bathroom had a bathtub that would be difficult at best for someone in a wheelchair. The shower pressure was weak and the water only lukewarm.

The non-smoking room smelled really bad when I walked in, so I gave the room a 4. Still, I slept well, and the Dove Soap & Body Wash was an A++ for me, smelled nice and felt nice and moisturizing. Thank you for that!

The room was quiet and just right for a quick stay after New Year's at the Battery, even with the highway nearby. The location made it easy to get to the Battery, Cumberland mall, and the highways. My one complaint was housekeeping knocking loudly several times well before 11 to ask if we were checking out. I had already filled in the online form with our checkout time, so they should have checked that instead of waking us early.
