The room was in the back, where the only way in or out was a small driveway, which felt like a major safety concern. When we checked out, nobody was in the office, and we waited five minutes for someone to come help us. The owner was rude, too. After we were gone for more than eight hours, our room still hadn’t been serviced, even though staff were still cleaning rooms when we returned. My mom called and was told ours would be done first. We left again, then came back to a made bed and fresh towels, but the cups from the night before were still on the nightstand and desk. It felt like they’d done only the bare minimum. There was blood on the shower curtain. At least there were no bugs or boogers on anything. My mom and I thought this was one of the worst hotels we’d stayed in. The reviews we found all gave it five stars and said it was great. If I could rate it below one star, I would. The manager’s name was Patel, and two reviews were written by people named Patel, which made me wonder if they were relatives.

The room was clean, and the front desk man who took our reservation and checked us in last night was one of the best clerks I’ve dealt with. He was awesome. The TV was nice and big, too. But the air conditioner was awful and we were miserable the whole time in the room. There wasn’t a coffee maker, either. I’d recommend this motel when the weather’s much cooler.

I had to switch rooms several times before finding one I could tolerate. The first smelled horribly of smoke, and its bathroom grout had black mold. The one I finally stayed in smelled the least bad, but the toilet had pee on the rim and a ring of filth in the bowl. The tub was moldy, with hair and bits of soap left by previous guests, and the shower knob was moldy too. I can’t imagine a female guest wanting to stay there. The carpet had been vacuumed well, the toilet paper was sturdy enough, and the soap smelled nice. That’s about all I can say in the room’s favor. Bring your own cleaning supplies if you want to use the bathroom. I saw just one cleaning lady. She was clearly overworked and most likely underpaid.

My reservation printout showed $56.99 with tax, but the clerk tried to charge several dollars more. After I showed him the printout, he went back and changed it to $57.00. The hot water took a couple of minutes to come through the faucet, even after I rang the front desk. Maybe nobody had used it in a while at that end of the building, but that’s never happened to me at M before.

Being able to bring my dogs and let them just be dogs makes this stay easier. They’re in a kennel, so there’s no mess, and I can stay here while my husband works in town and I’m stuck here. The rooms are clean, and there’s coffee, which we can’t live without. He’s really helpful and willing to go the extra mile to keep customers happy. Wonderful experience. Thank you, I’d definitely recommend this place.
