Courtyard Salisbury

The rooms were clean and the hotel itself was nice, but our car was broken into during our one-night stay. We only found out when we were leaving for home. Apparently four cars were hit here, with another two at the adjacent hotel. The manager was away, and the assistant manager did what he could, but communication and follow-up were slow and not thorough. It took days to hear from Marriott’s insurance adjuster, who said they weren’t liable. We also learned the cameras apparently hadn’t been recording for some time, so there was no video of the break-ins. This wasn’t necessarily the hotel’s fault, but the situation could have been handled much better. Salisbury’s crime rate is reportedly in the 95th percentile compared with North Carolina. Use caution about safety here, as you would at hotels or other businesses generally.

I accidentally booked the Maryland hotel while I was in Salisbury, North Carolina, and realized the mistake within minutes. I called in a panic. Berlin at the front desk was kind, professional, and understanding, and canceled the last-minute booking without a penalty. She took a lot of stress off me. I didn’t stay this time, but her compassionate help means I’ll choose Marriott for future trips. Thank you, Berlin!

The onsite Cafe had fresh, really good breakfast and coffee, and there were free snacks, ice cream, and water too. The rooms were very clean, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Very nice hotel.

Stephanie at the front desk made our visit feel personal. She was friendly, accommodating, and ready to help whenever we saw her, always greeting us warmly. The rest of the staff were excellent too. We were in town for a wedding and stayed two nights. The location made it easy to get around, and the rooms were spacious, modern, and clean. The hotel felt comfortable and welcoming. We’d stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
