I stayed here last week. My original check-in date was 5/10, but I arrived the next evening. On my last visit I only stayed long enough to shower before going to work; this time I was here overnight. The woman who checked me in, DGeorge, was unpleasant and dismissive. I tried to stay composed and continue with check-in, but she said she couldn’t check me in with the CLC on file. I called my company to have new paperwork sent, and it took three hours to adjust because I was also extending my stay through Friday. While I waited, she didn’t offer the complimentary water or snack I expected as a platinum member, and brushed off my requests for help. I needed the restroom and got a rude response when I asked where it was, though she was being very nice to another guest she was checking in. The vending machine was out of order, and she did tell me that, but when I asked if I could buy water at the suit shop or desk, she set a bottle on the counter instead of handing it to me. I gave her a five to pay for it, and she kept the change as though it were a tip. When she asked if I wanted another, I said yes since I wasn’t getting my change back. She also tossed my room key onto the counter rather than handing it to me. I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome around her that I waited in my car instead of the lobby. DGeorge is a Caucasian woman with blonde hair, probably in her late 40s or early 50s. She’s the only person there who has acted this way toward me, but she gave me strong racist vibes. Guests from all walks of life stay there. I like Choice Hotels, and have been going to Bestwesterns less often because they give me the same feeling. Out of more than 50 stays with you this year alone, this is the only Choice hotel that made me feel uncomfortable and out of place.

It’s not fancy, but it’s a good place to spend the night. My room was spotless and smelled fresh, the halls were quiet, and the beds were fairly comfortable. The hotel seems recently remodeled, the water pressure was great, and the bathroom mirror didn’t fog up. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. There were lots of couples and nice-looking people milling about at 8 p.m. I’d definitely stay again, which I don’t say about many places. Breakfast wasn’t very tasty, but the coffee was good.

The hotel is in a handy spot near the highway, and both the lobby and rooms were clean. The staff were friendly, and I didn’t see any cockroaches or bedbugs like other reviews mentioned. It’s a modest place, and my room could use a little repair work, but the stay was pleasant.

The room was disgusting, with “ladybugs” crawling all over the beds, stand, and ceiling. They wouldn’t let us switch rooms. The woman supposedly helping us was extremely rude; she gave us spray and said it would kill the bugs if they got on it, but it didn’t. My sister was so frightened she kept jumping at every moment and feeling itchy in case a bug was on her. The elevator was broken, so my disabled mother had to walk all the way up to the fourth floor. When it did work, it barely closed and made a creaking sound like it was about to break. The girl at the front desk was okay and probably the best part. Don’t go here. The rooms are disgusting!

The smell in the room gave me a headache within the first five minutes. I travel for work, and my company paid for the stay, but I couldn’t sleep in the room. I slept in my company vehicle instead. I complained to the hotel and my company, but there was no refund. I don’t usually leave bad reviews unless a stay is so awful I’d wish it on my worst enemy. The 4.9 rating for this place is a lie. Check out the pictures I had to send my company as proof. If you still go after seeing them, that’s on you.
