Red Roof Inn California, Md - Navair

The front desk staff have always been friendly, and this is usually one of my favorite hotels, which is why it pains me to write this. Housekeeping and maintenance need to do better. Room 317 on the 3rd floor needs a lot of TLC: there was mold on the AC vents, and I assume that's why they keep the window cracked. I killed two bugs, one in the shower, and when I went to change the toilet paper holder, the whole thing fell to the floor. I'll post pictures. Update: It's under new management. I booked without knowing the incidentals are now $50 a night, included with the stay you pay for. They also no longer accept Chime, a Visa accepted everywhere, or Cash App or bitcoin. You need a major credit card to stay, not just to book. Go at your own risk. I'd be less upset if they'd remodeled, which I could understand, but it's the same place with higher prices.

This is a good basic place right off 235N, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and breakfast was satisfactory for me since I don't have major dietary restrictions. I'd stay again to keep lodging costs down. I gave the room 3/5 because of the noise. Things kept turning on during the night, waking me or making it harder to fall back asleep.

Everyone was very friendly, and both the hotel and rooms were clean. Breakfast was pretty good too, with waffles, eggs, sausage, hash browns, yogurt, the usual pastries and cereal, plus juices.

The gym equipment all worked, and there was a TV in there. The whole place looked recently renovated, clean and updated, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower pressure was good, the TV worked, and the room temperature was just right. We stayed one night and checked in around 10/11p. Staff were just as friendly at checkout as they had been at check-in. Breakfast was hot and had a good variety, and coffee was available 24 hours. Parking was easy to find. I absolutely love the explore local display via all trails!! Recommend.
