Desert Rose Resort

Our two-bedroom suite at Desert Rose Resort was very clean, and they’d stocked plenty of everything, from towels and toilet paper to tissues and pool towels. When we called the front desk for anything extra, it arrived in 2-5 minutes. Myrah and two of her colleagues were professional and welcoming. The place felt simple but classy, and nobody bothered us. The heated pool was beautiful, the jacuzzi was great, and there was even a pool table. We WILL come back. Thank you, Desert Rose Resort!

The staff greeted us every day, whatever their role, and Ibanis in House keeping was a joy and always ready to help. Gabriel from maintenance quickly sorted out a commode problem. Our room was clean and roomy, and having a balcony was great. We stayed three nights and I’d come back the next time I’m in the area.

The location made getting around simple, with the Strip within walking distance or an easy Uber pickup, and the airport only about a five-minute drive away. The rooms have everything that makes a longer Vegas stay convenient, including a full kitchen and living and dining areas. Ours was clean and quiet, and the on-site amenities were amazing. The price was comfortable, too. I’m not a Wyndham fan, but this place didn’t feel like a run-down Wyndham at all. The staff were warm and friendly. I wasn’t keen on the “Vegas Package” pitch at arrival, but they understood when I said I’d just driven from the Grand Canyon and needed a nap. They stayed kind and welcoming.

On this visit, the main problem was our room beside a gate that slammed all night and shook the room. It was pretty annoying, so I’d ask for a room away from the gate if possible. Someone also got sick near there, though the staff cleaned it up fairly quickly. There’s no shuttle service. I’ve stayed here twice for a veterinary conference. The rooms are nice, the bathrooms clean and well stocked, and the kitchen has cooking utensils. The beds are comfortable, and front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. I appreciate having security on staff too. The bar opens onto the pool, hot tub, and fire pit area, which is a nice setup. The pool was warm, the hot tub hot, and I enjoyed both. My first stay was awesome, and this one was good overall despite a few drawbacks.
