La Quinta Inn by Wyndham El Dorado

First time booking a hotel room on my own, and it all went smoothly. The breakfast was yummy, the staff were really polite, and the rooms were clean, no bedbugs or anything! Such a pleasant stay.💕

We’ve stayed at La Quinta several times, but this visit was disappointing enough that we won’t return. We’d checked in around 2 AM and had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, yet staff knocked four times starting at 8 AM about cleaning and maintenance. It disrupted our rest and made us rethink staying another night, so we looked for a different hotel instead. Getting our $50 deposit back has also been a hassle. We were told it would be returned within 24 hours, but after more than 48 hours we were still waiting and had made several calls to different contacts.

Renovations were going on, but they didn’t affect my stay. I’d already checked in, so when I gave my name on arrival the staff member simply handed me the key cards without eye contact or much interaction. I asked about a business center and got a no, with nothing else. 🤔🤔

I brought my small dog and had no problems. The room was clean, the waffles were delicious, and breakfast was adequate. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make the stay more enjoyable. I’ll definitely come back!
