Embrace Calistoga

We left feeling refreshed and already talking about coming back. The inn is kept beautifully, and its roomy porch is a peaceful place to unwind. It’s right in downtown Calistoga, yet nights were quiet. The evening wine and cheese hour was a favorite. The local wines and cheeses were well chosen, and the relaxed setting made it easy to talk with other guests. Breakfast was just as memorable: fluffy beignets, croque madame baked in a crepe, and berries with a light spiced wine syrup, cinnamon, and star anise. My partner and I spent the weekend here and loved the food, warmth, and hospitality. Brent and Chris have made something special at Embrace Calistoga, a real gem in Napa Valley.

The hosts are what make this place so special. They’re thoughtful, friendly, and fun, and the food is delicious. We loved the breakfasts and the wine and cheese evenings on the porch. The property is adorable, clean, and comfortable, right in town but still very quiet. We’ve stayed in hundreds of places, and this is one of the best. We felt completely relaxed and looked after like royalty. It was a highlight of our 2.5 month trip in the USA.

The mornings were a treat, with breakfast prepared thoughtfully and beautifully. Chris and Brent made the stay memorable through their warm welcome, easy conversation, and care over the little details. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, just right for a restful getaway. Embrace Calistoga feels like a gem in wine country, and I’m already looking forward to returning.

We’ll be back. The rooms are large and comfortable, with robes, and the hosts are personable. It’s an easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Each evening there was wine and charcuterie on the heated outdoor patio, and the patio conversations were a lot of fun.
