The room and the outside were clean, and there were clean towels and bedding ready for us. The office staff were polite and quick, and the Wi-Fi worked decently at the back of the building. It's pet friendly and smoker friendly, which suited those of us too lazy to go outside. The rooms are a little outdated, but the price was fair for what you get. This isn't the Hilton, and you shouldn't expect that. I'd gladly come back if I needed to.

The place felt unsanitary and hard to trust. The toilet looked stained, and the sink was cracked and yellowish. Honestly, this was even worse than Motel 6. At least that one didn't smell like pee.

There were plenty of parking spots and the freeway was close, but I wouldn't stay here again. The room was dirty, with black hair in the shower and flies everywhere. There was only one small shampoo, my key card had to be reinstated to get in, and the broken double lock wasn't attached to the door. The coffee was awful even by non-snob standards. I didn't trust the bed, so I didn't sleep in it. The place just didn't meet what I'd expect at this price, whether in the USA or elsewhere. The owners were outside arguing with the construction crew over a bill. It gave the impression they wanted a lot for less, were thrifty, or didn't know how to run a hotel. I was shocked Wyndham would let this hotel be part of its chain. Good news, though: Patti's down the road is awesome and worth a visit. This is the deal. Just don't stay here at Day's Inn, Calvert City, Kentucky.

25Nov2025 14:45 There was very noisy construction around the motel, with heavy machinery running. A motel is supposed to be for resting, so I don't see how that's possible in these conditions. Booking.com needs to know about it.
