The medieval feast was a lot of fun, and I'd go again. The food and show were excellent, and the cast also served us wonderfully. I could hear them without any trouble. The theater room was small and a bit chilly, but the people at our table were friendly and easy to talk to.

The food at both our rehearsal dinner and reception was so good, and Donna, the kitchen staff, the bartenders, and Wilma on setup were fantastic. We had a wonderful wedding day and stay at The Riverside Inn, and loved its old fashioned charm. The rooms felt like stepping back in time. There are no TVs or phones in the guest rooms, which makes for a very different atmosphere from places we’d stayed before. Planning the wedding was another story. Most of the employees were very helpful, but the wedding coordinator was new and, as I was her first wedding there, didn’t know what was going on. I understand that it wasn’t her fault and hope things improve. Still, unless you plan every single thing yourself, from centerpieces and favors to vendors, you may be very disappointed. I handled all of it, and honestly, I’m thankful I did because otherwise we might not have had a wedding. We got married there in May 2014, and my husband and I can’t wait to visit again.

We were delighted with the staff throughout the wedding weekend. Jeremy Ball stayed on top of what we wanted from the time we booked a year in advance, and once we arrived Friday he made sure he or his staff were there whenever we needed something. Every detail of the service felt right, and the staff were kind, cheerful, and ready to help. Bernadette, the room coordinator, handled room changes, helped guests book and find their rooms, and kept me updated through the day before the wedding. She made that part much less stressful. Jeremy and Bernadette are caring people who helped make it a wonderful wedding, the second most amazing day of my life after our child's birth. The Riverside Inn is beautiful, with magnificent, well kept grounds and details that make it feel like stepping back in time. I couldn't have asked for a better venue, and it would also make a lovely weekend getaway. Some of our guests went to the Friday night medieval dinner theater and loved it. I had my wedding there on October 22, and I'm looking forward to coming back and seeing Jeremy and Bernadette again.

The day itself was great, and the kitchen and wait staff did a good job. The food was good, I had salmon, and the bridal party could use the hospitality room free for the weekend. The servers were attentive at the rehearsal and the morning after. They also packed food to go so we could get our hair and makeup done out of town. One longtime employee, who'd worked there for 25+ years, did her best to make us comfortable. I can't remember her name. The new staff were trying to make the weekend memorable, but dealing with some other staff was upsetting. The new owners had only taken over again a month before my best friend's wedding weekend. The planner didn't make sure there were enough seats outside and rushed to get more as the bride was walking down the aisle. She didn't seem to go out of her way, and when we needed help with things the bride hadn't planned herself, we were let down. The bride ended up planning it all. The Victorian room ceiling leaked on rehearsal night, and the kegerator lines were moldy, so we had to hand pump the kegs during the reception. The front receptionist, Bonnie, I think, was somewhat nice but seemed a little lazy. I don't know whether the previous owners took the bride's deposit and left, but if that happened, the new owners deserve recognition for taking on the loss. The inn is beautiful, though it needs some elbow grease and a good maintenance team to keep it from falling apart. I hope the town can hold events there to bring in money for restoration and upkeep. It was okay overall, and if you're planning a wedding there, make sure you're the only wedding that day. They can't handle more than one.
