Fairfield Inn & Suites Boston Cambridge

If you’re sensitive to noise and aren’t set on Marriott, I’d look at Kimpton or Sonesta instead. Traffic and trains kept making noise outside at night, and the floors seemed thin, so footsteps and people dragging luggage came through clearly. The hotel is clean, the staff are nice, the bed is fine, and it felt safe. It’s also handy for the Sanofi Cambridge office. There’s no humidifier available. With the location and construction, though, this hotel is just noisy, so bring earplugs.

My room had everything I needed, and I really liked it. I stayed six nights and chose not to have housekeeping. There were still enough towels and toiletries for the whole visit. Michelle and Gabi at the front desk were lovely and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent and super healthy. Coffee, water, and tea are available around the clock, including in the rooms. Lechmere station on the green line is right there for getting around, and downtown Boston is an easy walk too. One thing to know: the taxi they arranged for the airport used a fixed fare instead of the meter, and it cost a lot more than my trip from the airport.

Mary was so kind and helpful at breakfast. My family, including our kids who are 11 and 9, stayed here for a couple of days in Boston, and we all thought it was a great hotel. I’d definitely come back. I had a great stay and highly recommend it.

The T train is very nearby, so you do hear it, but that’s a small tradeoff for the location. Free parking and breakfast included are nice perks. The rooms are spacious, clean, and updated. We forgot a few things and got a dental kit when we asked. Each person also had a cold water bottle waiting on arrival, and the customer service was amazing.
