We loved how welcoming 16 Bay View felt from the moment we arrived. Everything was lovely but never showy, with the little details done so well. The fireplace made it easy to relax, and the bed and sheets were wonderfully comfortable. That bathtub was a treat, too. We had a beautiful view from our balcony, and the hotel is right in the middle of everything. Breakfast was great, and the food in general was wonderful. Every staff member we met was kind and genuine. We’re already talking about a return trip. Highly recommend!

We stayed four nights at 16 Bay View Hotel and were really impressed. Our Executive Suite on the third floor felt comparable to suites we’ve stayed in at the Naples and Chicago Ritz-Carlton. The heated bathroom floors were great, and we loved the balcony views. The rooftop bar had a spectacular view, and we had cocktails there one night. We also ate at the main floor restaurant twice. It mostly serves small plates, and the bartenders made and served great drinks. Breakfast was complimentary from 7-10 each morning, with a different menu every day. The one thing I’d suggest is having someone at the front desk all the time. A few times I went to ask a question and nobody was there. Still, I’d give 16 Bay View five out of five and will definitely stay again when we return next year.

Tracy, the Group Sales Manager, and Ashley, the Guest Service and Events Manager, made my daughter’s wedding day feel magical. From the start of planning, they went above and beyond to answer every question and concern. On the day itself, they coordinated the smallest details with the whole staff, including check-in, parking cars, and directing shuttles. My daughter got married in Camden, and our guests stayed at 16 Bay View Hotel. The hotel also hosted both the Welcome Party and Wedding Reception. The kitchen and bar teams were terrific, and the food and cocktails were delicious and beautifully presented. Guests kept raving about the food. I can’t say enough about Tracy, Ashley, and the entire staff. If you’re hosting an event, I highly recommend the Bay View Collection in Camden, ME.

We paid $939.80 for two nights at the Camden Harbor Suite, #38, to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We left after one night, even though the booking was non-refundable. After reading all the 5/5 reviews, we decided to try the hotel, but the condition of the room was awful. There was a musty smell, water damage where the living room ceiling and wall meet, dust and black mold in the HVAC unit, and brown hair in the bathroom vanity drawers. I’m blond and hadn’t used them. The vanity doors were dusty and covered with dried soap, and there was dried toothpaste spattered on the walls, as shown in the photos. The view was fine, the bed was okay, and the tub and shower were nice. The robes had generic labels instead of Turkish Towel company ones, and felt like sandpaper. We also had drinks and burgers downstairs at the Vintage Room. If a frozen gray beef patty on a hot plate with an ice cold bun counts as a “smash” burger, this is the place. For those prices, they need to do better. The mold left us with sore throats, and we just wanted to get out. That $939.80 might as well have been set on fire. Don’t make our mistake and stay here.

The staff were amazing, and the hotel was quaint while still having what we needed. They welcome pets and even provide pet supplies. If we make it back to Maine, we’ll stay here again.
