The staff made this stay especially pleasant. They were warm, polite, and quick to offer help, always with a smile. Check-in was easy and fast, and the whole visit felt comfortable from beginning to end.

There was mold growing under the fridge, and dried substances covered the counters. Even the towels that were supposed to be clean looked like they’d been dragged across the filthy floor before being folded onto the rack. The room itself was gross and dirty, and it didn’t seem like anyone had made an effort to clean before check-in. I doubt they even have cleaning supplies. Don’t stay here. You could get seriously sick, possibly even Legionnaires’ disease.

On September 19th and 20th I found pee stains on the mattress, missing light bulbs over the shower, and a coffee pot full of mold. The chair looked like it had been pulled from a dumpster, outlet covers were missing, and the supposedly non-smoking room reeked of smoke and marijuana. I’m not usually one to complain, and I know you get what you pay for, but this was just gross. I’d sleep in my car before paying for it. I also noticed reviews that seemed questionable: some people posted multiple times, with a terrible review followed by another stay the next day or a week later. The state or health board needs to inspect this place.

The bigger rooms are in a separate building and looked much nicer, so if you stay here, I’d choose one of those. Still, our room there had termites. We put clothes beside the wooden dressers, then I got a bunch of bites after wearing something that had been on the floor. I hadn’t connected the bites to the chewed-up furniture at first. I can’t say what caused the bites, but there definitely seemed to be termites. People mention bedbugs too, and I wouldn’t be surprised. We moved rooms because the first one had obvious mold, a broken toilet seat, and floors that turned our feet black. There were roaches around as well. We had a baby with us, so that was too much. Even a requested non-smoking room smelled like smoke. It’s a very cheap place, close to Shaw Air Force Base and a short drive away, with plenty of places to eat nearby. The area seemed all right. If you’re not too concerned about cleanliness or bugs, the price may appeal, but keep those issues in mind.
