The location was good, and the owners were very friendly. But there were ants in both the kitchen and bedroom. When I turned on the oven to heat dinner, it filled the cabin with smoke and set off the fire alarm for ten minutes before I even put the meal in.
We haven't arrived yet, but it will be very soon. My daughter n law’s family goes every year, and working with Kay has me sure we'll enjoy this vacation. She was kind, nice, pleasant, and very helpful. I had questions, so we emailed back and forth, and the customer service she gave was outstanding.
For about seven summers, our family and friends have spent a week at Kon Tiki, and we plan to keep going. Kay and Gary are great hosts. The cabins are vintage, but clean and well maintained, and the location right on the water is great. There are kayaks, fun trampolines in the water, and a paddle boat. If it rains, there are covered porches to enjoy.
The owners are wonderful people who work hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. It’s an affordable, fabulous place to take the family, with clean rooms, the lake, and all the outdoor amenities. Just don’t expect an all exclusive destination.
We had everything we needed for our vacation at this great little resort. The owners were friendly, great people, and the views were amazing.
