The casino was a blast, whether we were trying the machines or the tables, and we’re already talking about coming back. We spent four days here last week and had a fantastic time. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and the beds were the most comfortable we’ve found at a hotel. 😁

The show by the Spazmatics was great, the drinks were generous, and outside our room we found the place nice. The amenities are good, and for the most part we enjoyed the stay, though casino payouts were minimal compared with other casinos I’ve visited, where I’ve had decent wins with free spins and things like that. We’d reserved two identical rooms, but only one had a mini fridge. I called and was told one would be brought up, but nobody came. Later, a woman at the desk seemed surprised and asked us to wait for the supervisor. When he returned, he said the fridge cost $20. I asked why the other room had one, and he said he’d have to charge them too. I told him the hotel had left it there and was now trying to charge us. I asked him to remove it, and then he said he wouldn’t charge us after all. He was very rude. The bathroom was dirty, including dust and the area behind the toilet, and the carpets are old and need replacing. The next day our toilet wouldn’t flush. I reported it, checked again with my fiancé, and still nobody came. A second man at the desk called maintenance right away, and it was fixed. I’d give service five stars if we hadn’t been left waiting on maintenance, gone without the fridge, and dealt with the supervisor’s rudeness. He really spoiled the experience. Every other employee we met deserves five stars.

I could have used a bit more confidence in the room’s cleanliness. There were thick red marks on the bed and TV remote when we arrived, and the shower looked especially gross. Still, it wasn’t bad enough to make me uncomfortable, and the bed was exactly what my exhausted self needed. The room service staff seemed to skip our room the whole time. We saw them tending to nearby rooms, and we hadn’t asked them to stay away, so we don’t know why. We asked several times for toilet paper, towels, and trash removal, but never got service. Eventually the front desk had to handle those basics for us. It was my first stay in a hotel sharing a building with a casino, and I found the setup interesting. There are restaurants, an arcade and bowling alley, along with the usual pool, gym, meeting room, and other hotel amenities. You could easily stay inside the whole time, though I’d still recommend exploring outside too.

The arcade could use some work. Lots of machines were down, and many of the ones that worked didn’t respond for the first couple of swipes. We came for our 10th anniversary and had a lovely visit otherwise. Our room was beautiful, and the food we tried at Three Sisters and the cafe was good.

Felix deserves a lot of credit for helping us out. I’d accidentally booked the room for 4/2/2026 instead of 4/3/2026, so I’d been charged the full room price for missing the first night. We were facing the prospect of finding somewhere else to stay, but Felix was cheerful and kind, found us a room, and offered a discount even though it wasn’t the type we’d wanted. The room itself was clean and a good-quality space. We had a frustrating time getting food. We only wanted something small for dinner, but Johnny Rockets was full and that fast-food style didn’t appeal anyway. At Mountain Springs, we were told the menu wasn’t available that night and only the $35 buffet was on offer. Storytellers was full too, so we went to Three Sisters Market. My sandwich and chips seemed to have been made at least a day earlier. My daughter’s pizza was quoted at 15 minutes but took 25, so I finished eating 15 minutes before she got hers. Breakfast after checkout was similarly slow. I got my egg sandwich from the coffee Cafe in five minutes, while my daughter waited 20 minutes for a small quiche. We learned the person making it had forgotten to prepare it.
