Fort Verde Suites Motel

The manager was friendly and had helpful information, and the suite was a great deal for the price. It was spotless and comfortable, with plenty of space for our family of five. The two adjoining rooms had a kitchen between them and two bathrooms. It’s a charming roadside motel, a few minutes from Montezuma Castle NM and right on the main street of a cute little town. Several restaurants are within walking distance.

A refreshing change from the usual corporate chain hotel. We spent two nights at this locally owned motel and had a great experience. The manager was helpful and friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the location was quiet and close to the old downtown.

Check-in was easy, and I was in the room within 10 minutes. For a budget place, Fort Verde Suites was a comfortable, spacious option with a microwave, fridge, and coffee table. The bathroom was clean, and the shower pressure was incredible. I slept really well on the comfortable bed and pillows, with no aches when I woke up. The walls are a little thin, but that didn’t disturb my sleep. I could’ve used more outlets, though it didn’t detract much from the stay. If I’m back in the area, I’d stay again. It’s cozy and pleasant for the price.

After hiking through the Petrified Forest and Walnut Canyon, my sister and I were tired and looking for somewhere to stay on our do-over road trip. We’d been heading toward the big motel chains as we came out of the mountains, but then went to see historic downtown Camp Verde Az and spotted this cute little hotel. The woman there was accommodating, and I appreciated how nice she was. Our room had a kitchenette, so it was nice to cook a meal at home and sit down to eat with my sister. It’s a little off the path but close to everything. I’m glad we stopped, and I’d recommend it.
