Staybridge Suites Canton by IHG

We keep coming back because the rooms work so well for our family. We live in Summit County and like to get away every few weeks, and Staybridge Suites Canton has become our favorite. The kids get a room with two double beds, while we have a king bedroom, living room, and kitchen. Breakfast is hot and tasty, with waffles, omelets, meat, yogurt, cottage cheese, juice, coffee, and tea. The kids love the heated pool, and the whirlpool is our favorite. Definitely recommend it if you're in the Canton area.

The rooms are roomy, the furnishings and facilities are in good shape, and the little kitchens come in handy. Breakfast has a good range of choices, and getting here is easy, right off the freeway on a main road. Noise is the drawback: traffic comes through, and sound also carries between floors and through the walls. We had to quiet some tables that vibrated from equipment, and used sofa cushions to cover light coming around the curtains and beneath the door.

I ended up leaving for the night. The room was filthy, with splatters on the walls and headboard, and it felt like it was falling apart. The heater kept making an awful noise, while dogs in two neighboring rooms barked back and forth. The hotel itself was dirty too, with trash bags around and cases of beer in the lobby and hallways. When I went to the desk, I called out four times and waited ten minutes, but nobody came. Later, a woman there said she didn't know how to use their system and had to wait for the manager in the morning. Such an unprofessional place, and a complete waste of money. I'll be filing a complaint.

We stay here when I visit my fiancée's family in Canton, Ohio, and it's always been wonderful. Our room had two separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, plus a pullout sofa bed in the living room, which also had a TV. One bedroom had a king bed, TV, and recliner; the other had two queen beds and a TV. Seven people can sleep there with the sofa bed. They also have a gym, business center, indoor pool, laundry room, and excellent room service, along with free breakfast. We definitely recommend the hotel.
