Leanne at the front desk made check-in feel especially welcoming. The hotel was spotless, and my room was comfortable and clean. I had a wonderful stay at TownePlace Suites in Canton, GA, and think it's the nicest hotel in Canton. Highly recommend it!

One star. We booked seven nights with our pet, expecting, in hindsight rather hopefully, that the room would stay usable for the whole booking. On the third day, a handwritten note appeared on our door saying routine maintenance would start the next morning at 8:30 and finish at some unspecified time. We later learned a contractor would arrive between 8 and 8:30 to remove the HVAC, then come back at some unknown hour to put it back. Losing climate control, privacy, and any sense of schedule mid-stay, especially with a pet, seemed like something guests might object to. The staff appeared genuinely puzzled by that. They passed responsibility to “corporate,” which had apparently decided that morning that guests should adapt. Hotels sell certainty, not adaptability. Their proposed fix was for us to move rooms, pack up everything, take our pet down the hall, and unpack again, as if recreating moving day made up for taking apart a room we'd paid for. I'm a lifetime Diamond member with Hilton and have stayed in hotels long enough to tolerate minor inconveniences. This was far beyond minor; it changed what a room is supposed to provide. It's consistent with my broader experience: Hilton properties sometimes disappoint, while Marriott-owned ones almost always find a new way to misunderstand basic expectations. Maintenance itself isn't the issue, things break. The failure was managing expectations, and expecting guests to absorb the disruption rather than keeping their paid room habitable. A stay shouldn't turn into a pop-up construction exhibit, and one disruption shouldn't be answered with another. One star.

The hotel is clean, updated, and nice, and the staff are friendly and professional. But my room was near the front, by a busy road, so I heard traffic and police sirens. At 2 a.m., guests talking loudly in the hallway woke me. Their door slammed, and I could hear their whole conversation for around 40 minutes because the walls seem poorly insulated. The door doesn't close quietly, and for safety, make sure you pull it shut when you leave. Also, a low-frequency sounder blinked all night, which could bother you if you like to sleep in a dark room.

We paid too much for a room that wasn't fully clean. There was a used washcloth left in the shower, what looked like feces on the tile beneath the toilet, and a significant leak under the kitchen sink. We called the front desk about the sink but nobody answered. Very dissatisfied, and I don't recommend it.

The staff were nice, and breakfast staff were unusually outgoing and helpful. They said the hotel is about three years old, but it looks even newer, and it's clean and well maintained. There was a nice pool and grill area, free parking, and free breakfast with good English muffin sandwiches filled with sausage, egg, and cheese. A pleasant stay in a good spot within Canton.
