Magnuson Hotel Extended Stay Canton Ohio (ex. Americas Best Value Inn)

We’d moved from Florida, told them in advance we were moving, and paid for two weeks up front. We planned to keep paying every two weeks. I also explained that my elderly veteran grandfather was with us. Less than three days in, they gave our room away and put us out on the street in the cold with nowhere to go. My grandpa needs medication, and this is the only hotel that accepts mail. Stay away unless you want your family left to suffer in the cold and potentially die.

The rooms are huge, bigger than most apartments, and maintenance and housekeeping respect your space while you’re staying here. They even let us replace the TV because there was a small dent in the corner. We’re here for now until emergency housing opens up, and it’s been a really pleasant experience. It’s not the sort of place you’d expect for $100-200 a night, but if you’re not picky, it’s an amazing stay.

For what it costs, this is a great place. The cleanliness needs a lot of work, and our AC and heat didn’t work, though they did bring us heaters.

Jessica at the desk was amazing on our three-day country fest trip. She handled every request and took care of what we needed the whole time. The beds were so comfortable, and the room layout was great. Everything was clean and smelled nice, and it felt like a home away from home. We’ll definitely be back soon. Thanks for all the help, Jess! You and Mike are really turning the place around. Keep up the good work and that friendly attitude, it’s much appreciated!
