Opal at the front desk was the highlight. She was delightful, creative when we had an issue, knew the area well, and had a great attitude and customer service. We saw her with other guests too, and she was just as welcoming. Maybe management gives her room to be herself. Thanks, Opal, for making things easy and comfortable! We stayed before boarding our Disney cruise to the Bahamas, and I like how Hilton keeps quality consistent across its hotels. If you know the Garden Inn, the rooms are spacious, clean, and have updated decor. The location is decent for a near-port hotel, with a surf shop, gas station, convenience store and a few restaurants nearby. It’s not luxury, but good for the price. The attached restaurant serves breakfast from 7-11am and dinner from 4-9pm, and checkout is at 11am. The shop is well stocked with toiletries, snacks and drinks, even wine. You can check SpaceX’s website for a launch during your stay and ask for a Launch view room.
I used to enjoy staying at Hilton, but after this I may not stay at any Hilton Garden Inn again. The final bill showed a $40 shuttle charge even though we didn’t take the shuttle. We used Uber, and I have the receipts. I’d asked about a shuttle because the hotel is so close to the terminal, but the days of good customer service seem gone. On my first call, I was told the refund would appear later that week. It never did. When I called back on 03-4-2026, I was told there would be no refund, only points. That’s not acceptable. They’re all about the bottom line and don’t care about customers, I guess their heads have gotten too big. Book another hotel, anything but a Hilton. **RESPONSE FROM OWNER** Before arrival, our team contacted you through guest messaging about the cruise shuttle. In that conversation, a reservation for four adults on the 11:15 departure was requested and confirmed. The $40 total was explained and acknowledged before it was booked. We work with a third-party transportation provider that reserves seats once a shuttle booking is confirmed. Since the reservation was made at your request and you did not cancel before departure, the transportation company applied the charge. Please let us know if plans change so we can adjust reservations. Without notice that the shuttle would not be used, the reservation remained active with the provider. *****FEEDBACK FROM CUSTOMER***** As I said, it was an online chat and nothing was confirmed. If you still want to insist your customers are wrong, that’s enough for me to decide where to stay. Where I come from, your word means something. It’s sad our world has turned into this. Good luck with future customer interactions. You may have bookings now, but this kind of behavior eventually comes to light. Thank you for your feedback.
I found my room key sleeve at last and remembered Opal LaCentra’s name. She was excellent and deserves a raise. I came the day before my cruise, Jan 2, because I don’t believe in arriving on the day itself. My transfer from the cruise line to the hotel was a mess, though that had nothing to do with the hotel. I met up with my husband that evening, and Opal made the stay worthwhile. She knew where to find everything I needed and literally saved my vacation. I’m annoyed I couldn’t remember her name when I first reviewed the stay. The parking lot was great, the atmosphere welcoming, and the hotel very clean. Room 617 was perfect, my first time at a Hilton. The restaurant was great, the pool area excellent, the Market Place well stocked, and the server was amazing. We’ll definitely be back next year, even if we don’t cruise. I really enjoyed my stay, thank you.
We’ve visited Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach several times and usually choose Hilton hotels. This was our first stay here, and we’ll be back. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious, clean rooms laid out nicely and impressive art throughout. The lobby was spotless, and the staff were professional, helpful, and amazing. You’re close to everything, and it’s a good spot for watching rocket launches. We were really pleased with the stay and highly recommend it if you’re looking for a place in the Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach area.
Isabella at the front desk made my check-in easy and took time to get me a razor and shaving cream I’d left at home. She was warm, helpful, and genuinely caring, and her service really improved my stay. The staff overall were exceptionally friendly and professional, and the hotel was clean and well maintained throughout. Hilton Garden Inn Port Canaveral Cocoa Beach is only minutes from the cruise harbor, convenient for a pre- or post-cruise visit. It’s along a main road, but gives easy access to the surrounding area and a good range of nearby restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean, with useful storage and modern decor. Florida-inspired artwork adds a welcoming, relaxed feel.
