Drury Inn & Suites Cape Girardeau

I’ve stayed at Drury Inn and Suites often, especially at this location because it’s near my heart doctor appointments. The people are still very nice, though there are many new faces and they don’t know my family by name yet. The first suite we got had a bedroom TV that didn’t work, but they promptly moved us to another room. There’s plenty to like: the bartender was friendly, the pulled pork and dinner buffet were really good, and the included breakfast was as good as usual, with fresh bananas and apples, eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, bacon, sausage, French toast, and lots of other choices. The workout room looked good from the outside, and there’s a large lounge with a big TV. A free drink coupon was included in the lounge at the back. The blackout curtains have two panels, and I didn’t hear noise from other rooms. The shower got hot right away, with strong pressure that felt great on my sore back after driving. My concern is how the building is being cleaned. The same stuff was on the elevator glass for two months, and the windows used to be clean but most are now cloudy and dirty. More attention to dusting and details is needed. This used to be one of the cleanest, best cared-for hotels. Cleanliness and sanitation matter a lot to me, because if I get sick my condition could turn deadly quickly. Everything else was great, as always, but I don’t see the same pride and care for a clean, sanitary place anymore. I’ll give it one more chance, but if that doesn’t improve, I won’t be able to stay here because of the health risk. Thanks for a great stay otherwise, Ryan family. I’ll post some pictures. I hope y’all find that pride again.

The hotel is near shops and lots of restaurants, so nothing was a long drive. My boyfriend and I stayed two nights in a king delux room. It was very clean, the staff were super helpful and nice, and breakfast was hot and good. I highly recommend it!

Drury did a great job reworking this older building. What used to be three separate spaces has become two very roomy rooms. The king bed is in its own separate room, while the other has a sofa with a pullout, chairs, and lots of room to relax. They’re pet friendly, too. Fantastic place!

The nightly Kickback social comes with three free drinks and a free meal, and there’s a full hot breakfast every morning. The hot tub is amazing, and the place is very kid friendly. My room was comfortable and spotless, with a big walk-in shower that had real pressure and hot water. The staff are fantastic and friendly. This is definitely where I’ll stay when I’m in cape!
