Drury Plaza Hotel Cape Girardeau Conference Center

We’ll definitely come back. The pool and hot tub were spacious and clean, and breakfast had lots of fresh, tasty choices with a welcoming staff. Our room was roomy and very clean, the beds were comfortable, and everyone we met on staff was friendly and helpful. Such a great place.

The rooms were clean and up to date, and the price feels like a good value with breakfast included and the 5:30 p.m. kickback, a mini buffet with up to 3 complimentary adult drinks per adult. There’s also an indoor-outdoor heated pool, a jacuzzi, a gym, and coin laundry. No business center, though the Wi-Fi is good and the lobby has two computer terminals with a printer. This is an updated review: my two-day stay this week went much better than my three-star visit two weeks ago, so I’m changing my rating to four stars.

It’s easy to get to from the highway, with plenty of places to eat nearby, and our room has been quiet and comfortable. There are lots of kids around the common areas since the hotel welcomes families and dogs, so the pool was pretty busy. Staff have been very friendly and welcoming during our stay. We also got a pleasant surprise at check-in yesterday, complimentary happy-hour food and cocktails. The only noise we noticed was a guest slamming a door loudly early this morning. It seemed like one inconsiderate moment, since we hadn’t heard other doors between yesterday and this morning. We’re having a great stay.

Drury Inns are our favorite. The Drury where we were supposed to stay had a gas leak, so the day before we arrived, Drury called to explain and arranged another location at no extra cost. That location actually worked better for us. We love the amenities, but the customer service is even better. Highly recommend!
