Beauclaires Bed & Breakfast Inn

Our stay at Beauclaires in Cape May, NJ on 01/28/2026 was incredible. The owner, Joe, drove three hours through a snow and ice storm, when most people stayed home and many businesses were closed, just to open up and host us. He welcomed us with a smile and treated us like family, making sure we had what we needed, carrying our luggage both ways, sharing local history and recommendations, and arranging breakfast around our schedule. After a delicious home-cooked meal, we spent an hour in great conversation. He was warm, gracious, kind, and genuine. The Victorian home is charming, with spacious rooms, high ceilings, period furnishings, an ornate sweeping staircase, a large covered porch with rockers and a porch swing, and fireplaces in every room. There are only six guest rooms, which makes it feel cozy and intimate while keeping its grandeur. It’s a stone’s throw from the beach and a pleasant, relaxing walk to restaurants and shops. Beauclaires is a gem, and Joe is a true treasure. You can only leave a 5-star review, but it deserves 10. Stop scrolling and book your stay. You’ll be glad you did. Rick, Surf City, NJ, 02/03/26

We chose Beauclaires for the competitive price, its location, and a room with two beds. I was traveling with a friend to celebrate her 90th birthday and our friendship of more than 40 years. The beautiful Victorian home was just what we wanted, and the room was spacious and comfortable, even the daybed. Our host Joanne made the most delectable breakfasts and went the extra step to make our stay special, especially with her dinner restaurant recommendations. Thanks for a memorable Cape May stay!

Joe was a wonderful host, personable and accommodating, and our beautiful room had a nice beach view. The Beauclaire is a beautiful Victorian B&B, very clean and in a perfect location. We had a terrific, relaxing stay and will definitely return.

I’ve stayed at Beauclaires for more than 15 years with different friends and family, and have always felt welcome. Both hosts are cheerful, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast is always tasty, the rooms are clean, and I love sitting on the Big Porch. They provide bikes and beach chairs, and the house is close to the beach and downtown. I’d highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed.
