The bartender, Mai, was awesome, and Jay at the front desk was accommodating when I asked for an early check-in. I was traveling solo and had been unsure about staying because of the negative reviews, but my night here turned out pleasant. Sean, who handled security and driving the shuttle, was great. A few non-guests wandered through the open parking lot, though security cleared them out quickly. It was reassuring to have security around 24/7. Breakfast was just okay, but for the price I paid, I'm not complaining. They also have a bar. I'd stay again if I'm in Milwaukee.

The breakfast was good, though simple, and I slept well. The bed felt soft without being too firm or too soft. At first I thought the queen beds seemed like regular full beds, but after getting home and seeing my own queen, I realized I was being silly. The rooms were clean and the people were nice. Nothing special, but nothing bad either, and it felt safe when I needed a place in a pinch. The bar area seemed loud, but I couldn't hear it from my first-floor room, and the AC was quiet and worked well. It's not too far from the fiserv, in my opinion. I wouldn't pick it for a date.

Receptionist Chris was really helpful when we arrived very late after an unexpected stop, and gave us a late checkout. The area around the hotel felt a bit sketchy. Security said it was just locals and told me not to worry about my car or belongings. The lobby by my room smelled strongly of weed, maybe someone had been smoking, but my room was fine. Overall, it was a good stay.

The room wasn't ready even when we came back at 2:45 PM, after being told it would be ready around 2:30 or 2:45. We sat with our luggage in the dining area until almost 4, though check-in was supposed to be at 3. We were in town for my son's volleyball tournament and should've read the reviews first. The room door looked ragged, the bedroom TV didn't work at first, and there were no remotes. When one was eventually provided, it only worked for one TV, so we couldn't watch the bedroom TV during our Saturday-to-Monday stay. The couch bed was broken and wouldn't fold back into the couch, and the bedroom door wouldn't close all the way. The place felt dirty, with people outside all day. Men who looked homeless seemed to sit in the front hallway with their pants half down, leaving an awful smell. I also saw children walking around without shoes. My family and I aren't used to this kind of experience, and I was embarrassed to stay there. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It needs to be shut down, in my view. Minus 100 out of 10.

The staff were extremely nice, but the rest of our anniversary weekend was bad enough that we won't return. We'd already paid for two nights, so we stuck it out. The parking lot was trashed, with tight spaces where mirrors nearly touched, and parking was limited. Our suite smelled of drugs and had a door clawed up by a big dog. It was cramped and poorly lit, came with just two towels and one washcloth, had no coffee pot, and the safe seemed broken. The room was never cleaned while we were out. Our window looked onto an alley lined with trash and debris, and there was questionable activity in the lot all the time. We smelled drugs every time we went to the car. It didn't seem safe.
