Carroll Villa Hotel

The Mad Batter Restaurant made us happy at both dinner and breakfast, with a great choice of meals. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and ready to help with anything we needed, and the cleaning staff’s attention to detail made our room feel as perfect as possible. Look at the swans! The hotel is beautiful and feels great for couples, with its original Victorian style throughout and refreshed bedrooms with updated furniture and bath appliances. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay at the Carroll Villa Inn if we’re back in the Cape May area.

I was surprised how quiet our room stayed despite the downtown location. Carroll Villa is close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was especially nice, large, and well renovated. Instead of serving breakfast, they give you vouchers for the Mad Batter. Free parking is available about a quarter mile away.

The Mad Batter adds to the hotel's charm, with a menu for everyone and some of the best chocolate chip pancakes I’ve tasted. The staff were warm and welcoming, like old friends, and the front desk folks were especially sweet, greeting us with smiles and helping whenever needed. My room was beautiful, spacious, and quiet, and the beach was less than a five-minute walk away. Carroll Villa hotel felt like a picture-perfect small-town B&B, full of charm like a Gilmore Girls episode. If I visit cape may again, I’ll book here and tell friends and family about it.

Linda at the front desk was incredibly gracious and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The restaurant was outstanding: every meal we had was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Our stay at the Carroll Villa was wonderful from start to finish. The rooms had plenty of Victorian character while still being comfortable, making the whole place feel warm and inviting. We can’t wait to return!
