The Beach Shack

There’s a $50.00 voucher to use at the Rusty Nail, just a few feet from the hotel. My wife and I have stayed here several times with our dog, and the rooms are always clean. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great.

We could walk everywhere, and the hotel was welcoming to both our dog and kid. The staff were attentive and friendly, the beds comfortable, and the pool area had plenty of seating. I loved that every room has its own private outdoor area. The drawbacks were the shower design, since the glass divider is too small and water gets on the floor, and the limited parking. Most of the lot is reserved for valet, though we never saw anyone at the valet booth. We’d definitely stay again!

Parking is the one downside, though the free valet setup helps. We’ve been coming to the Beach Shack for a few years and love it. The rooms are cute and always clean. We didn’t use the bunk bed, but it’s adorable. It’s easy to walk to the beach and the Washington Mall area. Can’t wait to come back!

The beach was just across the street, with beautiful views, and the Beach Shack also offers the same beach service as Congress Hall: chairs, umbrellas, towel service, and a menu on the beach. The family suite was beautiful and private, and very affordable for our family of four. The Beach Shack had all the services of its sister hotel, Congress Hall, but suited families with kids better. The pool was nice and easy to get to, and the on-site restaurant, Rusty Nail, has breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and very family focused. It was our first stay, and it exceeded our expectations.
