From the meal to the room, it was fantastic. We started at Lulu’s, where the food was fabulous, then went up to Room 35. It was huge, beautifully laid out, with an amazing beach view and super-comfy bed. There were moon pies on the pillows, and the shower was massive, hot, and had several settings, from rain to handheld. The in-room coulee machine made good coffee, and Andy also makes outstanding coffee and scones in the morning. Complimentary prosecco at arrival was a nice touch, as was the local art on the walls. We ended up checking out every floor. Free parking too!
We’d watched the renovation progress and had been eager to book, so we were thrilled with our weekend at The Nevada for our 25th anniversary. Every detail felt spectacular, from the vibe and decor to the staff, restaurant, price, and location. We’ve also had excellent stays at Stones Throw and the Viewpoint, which have the same owners, and we’re happy to return to all three. It’s great to see these still-local, home-grown owners doing so much for their community. We’re already counting down to a November trip with friends. Kudos to them!
The first-floor glass ocean view king room was spectacular, and we were upgraded to it when my husband checked in for our anniversary and my birthday. They also offered us complimentary sparkling wine on arrival. The room felt super cozy, with a great bed, handy mini fridge, and fantastic shower. Waking up to the sunrise with that incredible view was the highlight. The Nevada is such a cool retro hotel, and we’re still dreaming about the stay. Its restaurant wasn’t open while we were there, so I went down the road to the stones throw restaurant for a drink and dinner to go, and it was the absolute best. We’ll definitely be back and telling everyone we know to book here!
We went to the Nevada in late December and January to celebrate Christmas with our son and his family. The oceanfront room looked out from the beachside property, and the beds were very comfortable with first-class linens. The rooms were beautifully appointed, and the coffee and scones served in the lobby were a real treat on a cold winter weekend. We’d return if our plans bring us to York, Maine.
We loved being able to walk the shore at sunset, with the beach right across the street. The boutique hotel had a fun beach feel, very clean rooms, and great ocean views from both the room and balcony. Having the restaurant downstairs was convenient for a casual breakfast or dinner. We’ll definitely come back!
