HI Tibbetts Point Lighthouse - Hostel

There’s a small observation deck with a clear view across the St. Lawrence River to the Canadian side. You can also visit the fog house and stop by the little visitor center for free maps of nearby lighthouses. Most of the lighthouse grounds are open to the public, though the light itself is still in active use and off limits. You can peek inside, though. It’s a quiet, peaceful spot with an amazing view.

We were glad we stopped by. Nothing was open on Sunday morning, but we could still walk around the grounds and right up to all the buildings. The grounds and buildings were very well maintained, and it’s a very nice lighthouse.

Beautiful lighthouse and lovely scenery. The snow and rain made it feel really cool!

Very peaceful, with the faint sound of waves breaking on the shore and a great view of Lake Ontario.
