The park is compact and clearly geared toward younger kids, and they’ll have a good time. Most rides felt quite short, though. You can bring a backpack or hat without a problem, and every ride has a free place to leave your things. I was initially confused about how the resorts, hotels, and theme park fit together, but it’s simple once you arrive. There’s one main entrance to the parking lot, with an easy walk from there to both the resorts and park. Parking is about $40, which seems reasonable. The pricier options only save a couple of minutes walking, so I didn’t think they were necessary.

We had an incredible time, and one of the best things we booked was the photo package. It let us get all the ride photos without paying for each one separately. My kids also loved making their own Lego figures, 3 for 14.99, and the Coca-Cola souvenir cup could be refilled around the park for free. We booked a little over a month ahead for six people, two kids and 4 adults, and got an amazing price for a knight-themed room at the Castle hotel that sleeps 7. We arrived Monday and the room was ready by 2:30, which gave us time to get settled. After dinner, we enjoyed the play area, movie area, and entertainment area in the middle of the hotel. On Tuesday we had a great buffet breakfast at Dragons Den, then got into the park by 10am. They ask you to make a reservation for the restaurant because it gets really busy. There was so much to see and do.

A great way to spend the day with my little nieces. We had a lot of fun and got lucky with short waits for the rides. Just expect to be on your feet all day. I didn’t see many seniors, just a few there with their grandkids.

The food and snacks cost too much, but we only bought popcorn and brought our own water bottles to refill. We got rained out of a lot of rides, then talked with LegoLand about it and they accommodated our concerns. I really feel they care about their customers. You do get your money’s worth. There are rides for families and different age groups, and we got to take our 3 year old on a real Rollercoaster. We loved it so much we waited in line more than once! The rides are fun and short, so a long queue doesn't mean a very long wait. We loved the rides everyone could go on together and wished there were more. Everything looked beautiful all lit up at night.

The Lego sculptures were very cool, and with the rain there were hardly any people around, which was kind of fun. Legoland also issued the Rainy Day Promise, though getting anyone to confirm whether it applied took pulling teeth. The rain policy didn’t cover fast passes we’d bought, which I thought was pretty ridiculous. I’m sure the place would be more enjoyable on a sunny day, and we’ll come back to redeem the rain checks. Our visit was a mixed bag. We rope dropped, hoping to beat the lines, but after waiting in a second line to enter a ride area, we were told it was only open to hotel guests for another 30min. Better signs or informed staff would have helped all day. Literally ZERO restaurants were open, which was frustrating. It was rainy, but why should that mean no food? With only 3 rides open, the aquarium was packed well over capacity, shoulder to shoulder. The rides we did get on were OK, just not what I’d hoped for. The Lego sculptures could use some maintenance, too.
