Motel 6 Carlsbad, CA - North

This Carlsbad Motel 6 is very clean compared with other locations I’ve stayed at. The staff are great and do a good job keeping the property safe. I’d recommend staying here and will tell friends whose family may need a clean, safe place. Highly recommended for a family stay.

I’ve stayed here twice while visiting the beach and ocean, and I’ll definitely be back next year. The rooms and bathroom are clean, and it’s very quiet. The maids are nice, the ice machine works well, and the ice tastes good. I love the memory foam pillows too. Carlsbad is a lovely neighborhood, and the prices are very reasonable. We paid about $230 for two nights, which is a steal in this economy. Our room had two queens, with one bed in a completely separate room.

It’s easy to get to Highway 5, there’s plenty of parking, and Legoland is one exit away. The room was mostly clean, and the beds were somewhat comfortable. Still, I felt it was way overpriced for what we got, and the customer service was lackluster. I’d never stayed somewhere without shampoo in the room. I had to ask at the desk, and they gave me a bad look. Bring your own hand soap too. There was a moldy smell when my family and I walked in, and the highway traffic was audible. Not good for families. Maybe I’d stay again on my own, but not with family. Overall, it wasn’t worth what I paid.

We’ve been staying in 115, and it’s been the best Motel 6 we’ve ever used. I usually avoid Motel 6 because so many feel iffy, but check-in here was smooth, the room was big and quiet, and the maid service was amazing. We loved it. Keep it up!
