Being able to bring my small dog is the main reason I stay at Blue Sky Lodge, and I really like its setting and location. The upkeep is disappointing, though. There were ants in our bathroom, the kitchen sink drained very slowly, and the trap underneath was coated in black gunk. The carpets were dirty, and the fiberglass parts of the patio fence looked moldy.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the cabin had a cozy, secluded feel. The location is what you're really paying for at $250 a night, since there aren't many amenities. The rusty heater appliances and dated room didn't help, and the TV picture was grainy, which I don't know how that's even possible now. They still use regular keys, which is part of the place's feel. It wasn't for me at that price. A motel would've been cheaper and more accommodating.

The deck had a beautiful view, and the bed was comfortable. They provide simple things like a coffee pot and soap, but the old carpet felt like it had a life of its own. For $150 a night, the entry door shouldn't look like it's from an abandoned high school locker room. This place needs serious updates, investment, and care.

The beds were cozy, and the rooms were dated but charming. Everything was VERY clean and convenient, and we truly enjoyed our stay. I just wish the room had wine glasses and an opener. We were in wine country, and travelers flying in can't bring an opener along. Spending $50 on a bottle and having to drink it from a coffee cup or water glass isn't appealing. Thank you.

The private patio and hot tub were highlights, and they let us check in early. The rooms were cozy, though they could have been a bit cleaner. The location is decent, if a little out of the way. For the price, it was pretty decent.
