We only stayed overnight, so I can't say much, but it was a very pleasant visit. The inn is cute, right in the heart of Carmel Valley, and reasonably priced. There's free parking on site, clean rooms with tiny bathrooms, and a nice courtyard with a pool. The staff were very sweet and helpful, and fresh pastries at checkout were a nice touch.

Great atmosphere, lovely surroundings, and very quiet. It's about 11 mi inland from the coast, and the small resort has pet-friendly rooms at one end. We had a few problems with the air conditioning and heating, and our room didn't have a microwave or refrigerator. Other than that, everything was good, and the pastries from Paris bakery were very good. I hope to come back.

The morning coffee and pastries were delicious, and the front desk staff were so helpful and kind. My wife and I had a wonderful night here. The bed was cozy, and the fireplace was great. It’s tucked away from the main road in a lovely part of the valley. We’ll be back!

I wanted a quiet night away from the stress of Silicon Valley where I could get some work done, and this place turned out to be a real find. For context, I have no connection to the inn and received no payment or special treatment for writing this. I’m on a budget, and nearby places can run $500 or $600 a night. I like bernardus, but its prices have gone through the roof, so I decided to give this place a try. I’m thoroughly impressed, and I plan to return. The location is peaceful, away from the main road, and the view is beautiful. The property has a lot of charm and has been remodeled recently; the work is nicely done. There’s still some old stuff that could use attention, but I’m not going to pick apart a place with so much going for it. The morning pastries were great, the coffee was good and always flowing, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping keeps everything spic and span. I have nothing to complain about. Carmel Valley is such a peaceful, amazing place, probably my favorite, and this inn makes good use of its beauty and atmosphere at a very good price. It’s a hidden gem in a hidden valley 😉. I recommend it wholeheartedly, though I suspect the price may rise as it gets more popular.

Those beds are SOOOO comfortable. I easily had the best night of sleep of my life, with the sweet sound of crickets outside and room temperature that was easy to adjust. We loved the pastries in the morning, too. Hidden Valley Inn was such a cute, comfortable place to stay.
