Being right in the middle of Carmel made everything easy, and we loved how roomy and cozy the room was. The beds and pillows were so comfortable that I was genuinely sad to go back to our bed at home. Happy hour was great, too. Breakfast was just okay for us: it began at 8 some days and 8:30 on others, which felt late, and we wanted more protein choices than the eggs, bagels, croissants, yogurt, and oatmeal.

The daily 4:30 wine and cheese hour was awesome, and breakfast, including the quiche we had, was included along with the wine and food in our room price. We also loved getting an hour to ourselves in the spa with the key they give guests. Lisa helped us before we arrived with check-in and parking advice, since the spaces fill quickly. When we got there, she recognized me by name and looked after everything we needed. The room and bed were comfortable. There’s no AC, so definitely get the fan going and open the windows. Thanks for making our stay in Carmel so enjoyable. We’ll definitely come back.

Free parking, a tasty breakfast, and daily happy hour made this a great place to stay in Carmel. The rooms are well appointed, and the service was fantastic. We could walk to everything in downtown Carmel. One side note: avoid PORTOBELLO. It was the worst restaurant service I’ve ever experienced.

Lisa at the front desk was friendly and really helpful, and our room had a cozy fireplace. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with options that were light as well as filling. The inn has a charming feel and parking on site, with everything in Carmel just steps away. My wife and I had an amazing stay at the Coachman’s Inn and would happily stay again.

The town itself is lovely, but our room was right by the common area, and the breakfast and drinks each day meant mornings started earlier than I wanted. Guests often took coffee and then made business calls outside our room. During a very humid week we had to keep the windows open, so I could hear those calls at 7:30am. Not great.
