We had such a great time at The Oceaneer. The beach is right there, and there are chairs behind the hotel where you can enjoy the ocean view, plus firepits. The garden along the side is beautiful, and the whole place has a laid-back beach feel. The pool was clean and just the right temperature, with plenty of chairs and umbrellas, and towels were provided. The reception area and fitness center were excellent. Our room was spacious, modern, spotless, and had very comfortable beds. It’s clearly been remodeled recently. The location is handy for restaurants, including some within walking distance, and parking is free and close to the rooms. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the owner was the nicest man. We’d recommend it to anyone heading to Carolina Beach.

Our two-bedroom room had soft beds, lots of lighting, carpeted floors, adjustable blinds, a Keurig, a good-sized TV, and a fridge. There’s no microwave, and the bathroom door is a slider without a lock. You can see the ocean, though there isn’t anywhere to sit and watch the waves. The air conditioner was noisy but worked well. The pool looked clean, with nice chairs, and the coffee machine by the front had lots of choices, along with a water and ice machine. Check-in was advertised for 3, but we waited about 40 minutes because they were short-staffed. The staff who were there were very sweet and kept checking on us while we waited for the front desk clerk.

We stayed a week with my parents and had a lovely time. The hotel is quiet and quaint, a good fit for couples or families, and the beach is just steps away. Coffee is available each morning. Our room was pristine, the pool was kept up and very clean, and the staff were professional and exceptional. Thanks, Rob. We’ll be back.

After five days at the Oceaneer, we were pleasantly surprised by how clean the hotel was and by its layout. The staff were attentive, professional, and very nice. The pool was clean and the chairs around it were comfortable. It worked really well for couples and families with kids looking for a relaxing stay. Thanks for hosting us.

The best part of our stay at Oceaneer Hotel Carolina Beach was being able to reach the sand in moments. That made beach time and sunrise walks easy, and the oceanfront setting gives the place a relaxed coastal feel. Free, convenient parking was another plus. The grounds seemed thoughtfully cared for, with native planting areas like “Alexa’s Garden,” landscaping meant to protect the dunes, and a generally low-waste approach. There’s a seasonal outdoor pool with a sun terrace, an on-site fitness center, and an outdoor fireplace. It’s a three-floor, low-rise property on the dunes, with stairs and no elevator. There’s no breakfast on-site, though Granny's Country Kitchen is about a five-minute walk away and is a local spot for a hearty breakfast. The lobby coffee and espresso machine is available while the front desk is open, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Each room has a drip coffee maker, which is handy if you’re up earlier. The bathrooms have stylish, space-saving sliding barn-style doors, but there’s no bottom rail, so privacy is more limited than with a regular door. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, and checkout is by 11:00 AM. Pets generally aren’t allowed, but service animals are welcome. It’s a simple, clean oceanfront stay for people who care most about the beach and outdoor space over full-service amenities.
