Western Inn Carrollton

The location puts you close to almost everything, and the TVs are enormous, easily the biggest I've seen in a room. The room did have a faint smoke smell, but it wasn't bad enough to make me ask to move. The pool is small, all concrete, and has no shade. The water was green where it hadn't been cleaned, and there was muck sitting on the bottom, so it doesn't seem to be filtered. Bring quarters for the vending machines since they don't take cards. Good value, though I'd put it closer to 3.5 stars than 4. I'd stay again.

We slept well day and night, which mattered to me since I sleep during the day sometimes. The room was very clean, with a great bed, a fridge, microwave, and a big flatscreen with lots of channels. The breezeways were well lit, the atmosphere was comfortable, and we felt safe. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful around the clock. It was a great deal for the price, and we'll definitely come back. I'd recommend it to solo travelers or families.

There's plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance in this busy part of town. The rooms were clean and better than I expected, and the staff was very friendly. They had truck parking with enough room to turn my trailer around easily. I'd stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The staff was good, but there are some roaches on the lower floors. The upper floors seem okay. I also had an earring go missing, then found it a month later somewhere other than where I'd left it.
