Staybridge Suites Carson City - Tahoe Area

The room was quiet even though it was right behind the elevator, and the parking lot felt safe. Walmart is within walking distance, and the location worked well for everything we had to do in Carson City. We stayed three nights for business, and the night shift guy was great, helping us with the keys at check-in. The rooms were clean, there was plenty of hot water, and breakfast was decent with lots of options. Ask for waffles and they’ll make them for you. A few things need attention: the smoke detector goes off when you blow-dry your hair, there’s a strange master switch for the bathroom electricity, and several bathroom floor tiles were loose. The outside door handle also came off in our hand. Even so, this is still our choice when we visit.

We’ve stayed here several times this past year with our dog and have enjoyed being so close to the mountains. The kitchen is handy if you’d rather not eat out, and the weekday happy hours are a nice extra. Rooms are generally clean and the staff are friendly. The noisy AC and heating can make it hard to sleep, though you need them once it gets hot.

Salma at reception was attentive and really helpful, and the hotel itself was clean and quiet during my couple of days there. I was pleasantly surprised to find complimentary food and drinks at the open bar on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Candace at the front desk was wonderful, and the whole stay was accommodating. I travel a lot for work, and this was probably one of the cleanest hotels with the nicest staff I’ve experienced. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms are large and thoughtfully laid out, with a full kitchenette, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and guest laundry when you need it. Monday through Wednesday there’s a free late dinner with soda and other drinks. If you’re staying in Carson City, this is the place to be.
