Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Omaha Airport, IA

The woman who checked us in was nice and polite, but the room was awful. I stayed on 11-21-25 with my three kids after driving two hours from Des Moines, IA, for my 14-year-old’s doctor’s appointment the next day. I’d hoped for a relaxing night, but the room smelled strange, the toilet was clogged before anyone had used it, the sink and floors looked really outdated, and the front door was hard to close. When I told the front desk, she handed me a plunger that still had shit on it. To make it worse, my daughter came home with bedbug bites. It was a waste of my money and time. Please read the reviews. I’ll definitely do that next time.

The free shuttle and nice staff were good, but there was a cockroach in the bathroom. The shower pressure was almost nonexistent, and the water only got a little above lukewarm. I had to take a bath to get clean. The shower head just dribbled like a hose set to its lowest setting.

Kelly went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I ended up happy with our room. After talking with her, I felt she understood what needs fixing here and should be the GM. It took us a few attempts to find a suitable room because the hotel is under renovation, which is why I gave it four stars. The location worked perfectly as we passed through Omaha on a road trip. Breakfast was good and the hospitality was amazing. Thanks, Kelly, for turning the stay around.

On our second morning, I found a roach crawling on the bed pillow. I called the front desk from my cell because the hotel phone didn’t work. I spoke with Kelli, the Front Desk Clerk, who apologized and sent Maintenance. My husband had put the roach in a disposable cup, which Maintenance took. We asked for the manager, but got excuses that the manager wasn’t in yet or was in a meeting. We felt this should have been handled differently. We’d first driven past the hotel because the parking lot was completely dark and the Country Inn sign wasn’t lit, which felt very unsafe. At check-in no one was at the desk; the clerk was outside smoking on a video call. The room seemed okay at first, but the roach changed that. If you want a totally dark lot, an unlit sign, and roaches, this is the place.
