La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Omaha Airport Downtown

The toilet backed up, and when I asked for another room, I was told I’d have to pay because it was my fault. The response was rude, and they said there was no plunger and maintenance would come in the morning. The bathroom light wouldn’t turn off, the sink faucet was loose, the fan didn’t work, and the room smelled musty. The service felt unprofessional. La Quinta corporate should be embarrassed to have its name tied to this place.

The one thing I liked was the bathroom mirror. Otherwise, the room was dirty and smelled odd, the shower had visible rust, and there wasn’t any toilet paper. The bed made me uneasy enough to worry about bed bugs. The room’s condition felt like a rushed landlord special, with problems painted over and called “new.” Breakfast was extremely sparse and below what I expect from this brand. This was the worst La Quinta I’ve stayed in, and I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

I’ll try staying here again, though we’ll see how it goes. I’ve repeated stays for reasons, but I wouldn’t have if there were other options. There are several hotels nearby, and the one other place I tried had better service and made me feel more welcome. Here, I’ve felt like an unwanted stranger every time. The TV remote didn’t work, and when I got the same room again, they still hadn’t fixed it or any of the issues I’d reported before. Next time they say 432, I’ll politely ask for a room facing the other way.

The rooms were dated, and black stuff came out of the water dispenser in the lobby. They took us to the airport on time, but when we flew back, we were told we’d only paid for parking and that no one would pick us up. I spent nearly an hour trying to reach someone. They offer sleep and park, but the return shuttle wasn’t provided for us.
