Tru by Hilton Cartersville

The staff were warm and quick to help, and breakfast had fresh, tasty pancakes, sausage, eggs, and yogurt. The lobby was a great place to unwind, with lots of seating, a pool table, and board games. The hotel feels relaxed and welcoming, and being able to bring our pet was a big plus. It’s modern, comfortable, and clean, with thoughtful touches, and we’d stay again. We didn’t have any major problems, though the public restrooms ran out of Kleenex and toilet paper at one point. Hopefully that was just a small oversight.

The location was perfect, and check-in went smoothly thanks to the great reception staff. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived, and the lobby is spacious. There was a strong smell of cleaning products when we first entered. The thermostat was acting up at times. The next morning, housekeeping cleaned only the bathroom, leaving the room untouched and the beds unmade. I’m not sure if that happened because they were really busy or if it’s normal at all Tru locations. Great location, would recommend.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean with very comfortable beds. This was my first stay at a Tru, and it’s a minimalist place without a microwave or coffee maker in the room. If those things don’t matter to you, it’s a nice little spot tucked against the side of a mountain. I’d highly recommend it for a short stay.

There were five ladybugs in the room, and while the room itself was okay, storage was sparse, with no closet space or dresser. The TV had just one channel that worked, then stopped working too, and none of the streaming apps worked. An employee said he would try to get maintenance there the next day. He couldn’t move us because the hotel was full, and said we might get extra points. Unacceptable!
