There’s a beautiful private beach right on the property, and I’d love to see it in the summer. The only downside was the poor cell signal, even with Verizon, though the hotel Wi-Fi worked fine. We also got a great shoulder-season price. The hotel itself is simple, nice, and cozy. The receptionist greeted us kindly at check-in and made us feel welcome. Our clean room had a microwave and fridge, which was a nice extra.

I only ate at the Thai restaurant once, and I thought the food was good, though I didn’t know much about Thai food back then. The family who ran the place were great, and the grounds are well kept. I remember the quiet private beach as a lovely place to walk in the morning with a coffee. I haven’t stayed in many years, but I used to come every year. It wasn’t fancy, but it was good value and the room was bigger than what I felt I’d paid for. I hope to stay again with my family someday.

The room was quiet despite being right off the main road, and we loved our stay at Pine Beach Inn & Suites. It was a large, clean ocean-view room, comfortable even if it wasn’t fancy or new. We reached the owner late at night while driving along the coast. She spent about twenty minutes talking it through with me, without pressure, and offered to let us see the room before deciding. A five-minute walk took us to the private beach, and after another ten minutes we found cliffs with tide pools and hardly any other tourists. We’d gladly recommend it to friends and family, and would love to return for a family reunion since the place seems well suited to one.

I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was spacious and clean, though a little dated, and I didn’t notice the smell other reviewers mentioned. I paid a bit extra for a view, and it was worth it. From the balcony you can see a small secluded beach and hear the ocean as you fall asleep. Bring your own coffee and filters since none are provided. A scented candle too, if you like, and enjoy!

The ocean and private beach are easy to get to, and the rooms are nice, though a few repairs are needed. There was a loose tile in the tub and the sink drained poorly. We didn’t get housekeeping on Wednesday, and maybe not Tuesday either, since the bathroom floor didn’t look clean when we checked in. They did bring fresh towels when we asked. We’ve stayed before without any problems.
