We’ll definitely visit again. It was our first time staying at Whippoorwill, a campground run by a very nice family who take pride in their property. It’s in a perfect spot for biking or heading down to the village. The restrooms were very clean, the pool area was well maintained, and there’s a charming winery next door for anyone who enjoys wine.

A great campground with really nice people, right in Lake George. The bike path is close by. Take a left and walk down to one of the best Dollar General stores you’ll ever see. Five stars for sure, can’t get much better.

The grounds are clean, and there’s good space at each level site. Most sites are grass rather than gravel, and trees throughout provide nice summer shade. At the entrance there’s a seating area, space for kids to romp, a pool, and a small arcade. Connor was helpful onsite and replied quickly by text when he wasn’t there. The price is consistent with the area, and the old rail line bike path behind the property is great for walking, running, or biking. Being right on the main road wasn’t an issue in the evening, though you may hear trucks heading to work early. There are really only two things I’d rate lower. The bathrooms are decent and fairly clean, but they aren’t cleaned daily. The showers are fine, though, as at many campsites, not perfect. The laundry has free washers, but only one of the two works, and there’s nowhere to sort or fold clothes. The dryers cost $3.75 but are large. That’s the nitpicky stuff. Another good RV campground that could be a 5/5 with a little more effort.

We had a great recent stay in the campsite section. The owner and staff were very welcoming and helpful with our questions. The amenities are well maintained, and it felt safe for families and pets. Shops and stores are nearby. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful fall weekend and would definitely return. The campground is small, very well kept, and conveniently located near Lake George’s main attractions, so exploring the area was easy. We had a campsite and rented a room. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, our campsite was spotless, and all the hookups worked perfectly.
