My fiancé and I paid for three nights, but left on the second day and asked for the final night’s fee back. The owner, Rasheed, refused and then hung up on me. Unless you’re desperate, don’t rent from BUDGET INN QUEENSBURY or THE KING HENDRICKS in LAKE GEORGE.

Please tell the tenants to quit harassing people in public. If they try to stop me from using the sidewalk again, I’ll involve the police. This behavior is completely unprofessional and will be met with consciousness. 🚨 🦷💢

We’ve been in this room for over 60 days and have gotten mail here, so as I understand it, the law makes us residents. The owner says he doesn’t care about the law because it’s his property, and that we don’t pay him because the county does. We still pay taxes. We have a small dog with a doctor’s note saying he’s therapeutic. I kept the room to a high standard for my family, and we were respectful tenants who didn’t bother him for anything, not even toilet paper or the usual hotel supplies. I’m pretty sure what he said to us was racist. He treats everyone like they’re beneath him and seems concerned only with collecting state grant money, not with people going through hard times. The AC was leaking, and when I looked at it last night, I found years of slimy mold being blown into the room by the fan. I cleaned it so my family wouldn’t get sick. When I brought these issues up, he said he didn’t care and that we couldn’t stay after the next day. I don’t think someone should be allowed to take state money without proper room inspections, or to discriminate against people who’ve hit a rough patch. Some of us may be alone, smarter, and know the pen is mightier than the sword. If anyone has advice or a place for a good family of five trying to get back on our feet, please respond. Thanks to everyone who reads this.

I went there in person because I couldn’t get any information from the website or the listed phone number. I called the number taped to the door, and the guy said they don’t rent by the night, only by the week for $475. There were people outside drinking and making drug deals, and the place looked like a complete slum. With three small kids, I decided to keep looking. Good luck.

We walked in for a one-night stay and had no problems. The room was in great condition, with no issues with the floor or bed. The guy at the desk was very polite. I’d recommend it to anyone.
