Sage & Sand Motel

The building and its amenities are dated, but Monica made our stay comfortable. She kept the room tidy, brought clean towels, and was friendly and hardworking. You can tell she takes pride in caring for guests and does what she can to make up for what the property lacks. Her warm attitude made the place feel welcoming.

The rooms are roomy and very nice for the price, which was really affordable. The front desk lady is absolutely adorable, and the staff are so friendly and make everybody laugh. 10 out of 10, I'd recommend this motel over any other in town.

We could see the mountains from the motel, and the lake is just a block away. Shops and restaurants downtown are close too, and the vendor events make it nice to take the family for a walk and enjoy the views. Our room was clean, with cold A/C, a working fridge, and fast WiFi. They cleaned the rooms each morning, and staff were always kind and ready to help. The owners and staff are humble, kind people. We had a great stay and will come back. The on-site laundry was a plus as well.

I felt safe here, and the room was standard, fine for a night's rest, though the hotel looks a little worn. If you booked through a third party, be ready to pay a $100 cash deposit fee. I hadn't known about it and was tired and hungry when I balked at paying. The staff member was patient with me, including when I locked myself out and needed a new key made twice.
