We paid $200 before tax for rooms that felt more like $125 rooms, and the hotel badly needs upkeep. Our room smelled like mildew, and two of the five rooms had showers where hot water came from the faucet while cold came out of the showerhead. None had drain plugs. The keys were unreliable for both rooms and pool access, and one family member needed replacement keys three times after being locked out. We were a group of 20, ten adults and ten kids, on a family vacation. Nobody mentioned at check-in that the attached restaurant had been closed for some time, and the website didn't mention it either. We were pointed to Club 94, which was another mess, or the DQ down the road. The pool had issues too. The kiddie pool was running, but some parts weren't working right. The hot tub's chlorine burned my eyes, and stepping stones were missing from the hanging hand bridge, making it difficult for younger children. There were no towels in the pool area, and the towels themselves were so small they fit my one-year-old just right. The shower rooms were filthy, with poop smeared on one stall floor. The towel hamper was overflowing and looked like it hadn't been emptied in a while, even though there were plenty of people using the pool. After swimming, we tried the arcade, and that was a mistake. More than half the games were broken and took our coins. I tried the candy crane for my three-year-old since he couldn't play the games he wanted, but the candy was hard, the chocolate melted, and it looked like it hadn't been changed in years. I showed the front desk which machines were broken and explained the other problems. I watched her put “OUT OF ORDER” signs on them, but within 12 hours the signs were gone. Breakfast ended at 9 a.m. For our family of four with two small kids, even getting up at 6:30, showering, and getting ready made it a tight squeeze to get down in time. I wouldn't recommend staying here. It felt like they didn't care about the hotel and just wanted to make a quick buck. There's a lot of updating and maintenance needed before this place looks even half decent.

The reviews make this place sound worse than it is. It has new management, and the remodeling has made it a much better hotel. I wanted to update a few photos so they show how it looks now.

After keeping the two people ahead of us occupied for 20 minutes, the front desk finally told us there were no rooms. They'd first sent those guests to rooms that were already occupied, while another woman just sat there doing nothing. Really frustrating service.

We drove several hundred miles, but arriving just 15 minutes before check-in still meant waiting in the parking lot. They wouldn't let us in, and I don't think a 15-minute early arrival is much to ask. It didn't feel like good customer service. The room was small but clean, and I didn't mind the hard flooring. The swim area was good, though you have to ask the desk for towels. Breakfast was sparse and had run out of food by 8:30.
