Quality Inn & Suites Castle Rock SW Denver

I booked Sunday instead of Saturday by mistake on Hotels.com, and the front desk or manager wouldn't move my reservation to the right date. There was plenty of availability, but I was offered a second room for Saturday and told I had to pay for my mistake with the dates. The front desk or manager blamed Hotels.com's inflexibility. Hotels.com told me the hotel could make the change easily enough. After an hour of calls and waiting, I escalated to the manager, who stuck with the front desk's position. There wasn't even a compromise. I stayed elsewhere and will never stay at this hotel again.

Most of the hotel was nice, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the women enjoyed the pool. My only issue was being charged for smoking weed in the room. We smoked in the car and didn't bring anything into the room. Sorry you guys have such dank that you can still smell it long after we leave 👌

We got what we wanted from this Quality Inn and I'd stay again. The room was clean, and the reception and checkout staff were very nice and friendly. Checkout was easy, the location was great, and breakfast was a basic continental spread but perfectly acceptable. I've seen poor reviews, but our experience was excellent. I don't expect the Ritz Carlton when I book a Quality Inn.

On the fourth day, the manager came to complain about our dog and say we owed a $160.00 pet fee, even though the place is supposedly pet friendly. We had the dog with us at check-in and for all four days. Why wait until day four to bring up a pet issue? I understand pet fees, but this felt shady and misleading. They tried to get more than $300.00 fraudulently, taking $25.00 from my bank account without permission. They also tried to take over $200.00 from my son's account without permission. My bank is investigating the charge. I won't stay a week again at Quality Inn- Castle Rock, Colorado. I'll take my money to the good people at Holiday Inn instead. Quality Inn-Castle Rock, Colorado is no good, and breakfast was a joke: hardly any waffle, no meat protein, and NO HOT FOOD AT ALL.
